Economics and Politics

Even though it’s still too early to tell, Latin America might be the next European Union. Richness in Culture

Among the other cultural contributions is the rise of world-renowned artists (Shakira, Marc Anthony, Enrique Iglesias, Antonio Banderas, Penelope Cruz), celebrated directors (Pedro Aldomovar), and prominent painters. Paella, Bakalao and bullfighting also come from the Spanish-speaking countries.

Even though these artists have English works, would it not be a different feeling if you’re able to sing and dance to their tunes in the lyrics at which they were originally written? How about reading the interpretation of the paintings in their original language? Would it be more enjoyable to watch the movies of Pedro Aldomovar without relying on subtitles to comprehend them? Or appreciate the books of Gabriel Garcia Marquez in their entirety?

Indeed, something gets lost in translation!

In conclusion, when you do learn how to talk spanish, travel and employment opportunities, medical and creative opportunities, and opportunities for fun and adventure are opened to you. Besides, would it not be to your benefit to learn more about the world around you rather than just being isolated in your own limited world called the United States (or wherever)?
